This time last year, thirty years of successful equestrian competition suddenly came to a grinding halt for Whenuapai horsewoman, Judith Hayes.

Her newly delivered - and very expensive - horsefloat literally fell apart. Then, before the float could be repaired, its manufacturer went into liquidation leaving Judith without a float. out of pocket and unable to transport her prized horses to competition.

Road stability in a horsefloat is a particularly important point to equestrians. Because of the stress transport can cause a competition horse, Judith says she put that aspect to an immediate test. "I had a young horse who had never been in a float before, yet she showed none of the stress that you would expect after a long journey."
